Jim Walsh has 27 years experience in the towing and recovery industry. Starting as a tow truck operator, Jim added to his training and expertise to become an accident recovery technician and a fleet acquisition supervisor for his family towing business in Bakersfield, California.

In 1992, Jim joined Retriever Towing, in Portland, Oregon, a company specializing in service to the City of Portland, handling vehicle impounds on a contract basis, removing illegally-parked vehicles from private property. Because the nature of this work demands highly developed people skills and the effective management of volatile situations Jim excelled in his job. Strong motivation and skillful use of towing equipment resulted in Jim's achievement as the top revenue producing driver of a crew of over 100 drivers for two years .

Between 1998 and 2000 Jim was West Coast General Manager for used towing equipment for Road One Fleet Sales,based in Lake Oswego, Oregon, at the time part of Miller Industries. Here Jim appraised, consigned and purchased as well as sold used towing equipment.

In January 2000, Jim, Donna and Gary Coe joined to form Fleet Sales West, a towing equipment distributor specializing in CHEVRON Towing and VULCAN towing equipment , selling new and used tow trucks and car carriers and cranes nationwide. The company's specialty is custom applications of components of the entire tow unit to meet individual customer applications, specific equipment rating requirements for law enforcement and other contracts in California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada. Fleet Sales West is proud to rank among the top distributors in Chevron's national sales volume.
