SPECIFICATIONS: Body is constructed with 12 inch fabricated sill channels that mount to the truck frame at the front, middle, over the axle, and the rear at the frame burn-off. The center of the body is designed with a top mounted removable service panel for easy access to all hydraulic valves. The oil tank is an integral part of the
subframe and located at the front of the body to provide a counterbalance for towing. A side entry tool compartment is located on each side
of the body equipped with a full perimeter rubber bulb seal. The tool box doors employ internal hinges and stainless steel rotary double catch paddle latches. The body is equipped with manual rear controls and it is available with additional optional electric remote controls. The rear bumper is equipped with two pivoting 6-1/2 ton clevises near the frame mounting bolts for low line pulls. The recovery boom is manufactured tandem 9,000lb planetary winches with telescopic recovery boom is rated at 16,000 lb. retracted and 8,000 lb. extended. The recovery boom has an elevation of 0 to 30 degrees and 63 inches of reach past tailboard. The winches are Warn Series 9 - 9,000 lb. planetary drive with 3/8 x 100 ft. of cable. The under lift is the AutoGrip self-loading system. The under lift has 70 inches of reach from the tailboard and has a lift rating of 4,000 lb. at full extension. The underlift employs a removable tilt lockout pin for self-loading operation that is removable for situations that require negative tilt. The underlift extension cylinder has a “hydraulically cushioned” self-centering system that slows the retraction in the last 4 inches of stroke to protect the self-centering plates as they engage the crossbar. AutoGrip Features The large wheel lift pivot surface and setback design of the wheel lift crossbar maximizes durability and wearability of the crossbar pivot. The setback design is much more durable than other designs that can do 90- degree hookups because the 90-degree hookup design applies 90% more leverage on the pivot with average sized car tires. This is because the 90-degree hookup design carries the towed vehicle’s wheels much farther behind the crossbar pivot pin....roughly 90% farther depending on the towed vehicle’s tire size. The AutoGrip’s hoses are routed through a flexible guide track inside the under lift to be unexposed in the work area and thereby protected from damage. This hydraulically adjustable tire grip will also prevent the towed vehicle’s tires from settling down in the hookup. When the tires settle down in the hookup with a loose grip, the oil pan on front wheel drive cars can get damaged against the center of the wheel lift crossbar. Basket straps are used to restrain the towed vehicle’s wheels. The basket straps are available in two sizes, yellow for car tires and blue for large tires. Body#: 0408T13838
